SUMMARY:ERIS 2024 Tenth European Radio Interferometry School
DESCRIPTION:The tenth edition of the European Radio Interferometry School\, ERIS2024\, will be held in Granada\, Spain\, from Monday September 30th to Friday October 4th\, 2024. ERIS will provide a week of lectures and tutorials on how to achieve scientific results from radio interferometry. The school is co-organised by the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA-CSIC) and JIVE – Joint Institute for VLBI ERIC. This school is sponsored by the OPTICON-RadioNET Pilot project and the Severo Ochoa training program of the IAA-CSIC. \nThe topics covered by the lectures/tutorials will include: \n\n   Calibration and imaging of continuum\, spectral line and polarization data\n   Low frequency (LOFAR domain)\, cm-wave (e-MERLIN domain)\, decimetre-wave (HI/OH domain)\, high frequency (ALMA/IRAM domain)\, and VLBI interferometry\n   Extracting the information from astronomical data and interpreting the results\n   Choosing the most suitable array and observing plan for your project.

SUMMARY:El impacto de la astrofotografía
DESCRIPTION:La sala Mudéjar del Rectorado de la Universidad de Córdoba acogerá este fin de semana el Congreso Astrofotografía 2024. Un congreso en el que\, a lo largo de tres días\, especialistas de la fotografía astronómica e investigadores profesionales de la astrofísica debatirán sobre técnicas de procesamiento\, proyectos de investigación con profesionales y las dificultades y retos que tienen que afrontar quienes quieren fotografiar el firmamento. \n \nAsí\, el congreso abordará a través de varias ponencias el impacto de la astrofotografía\, actividad ejercida tanto por profesionales como por amateurs y que cada vez tiene más seguidores debido a la facilidad de acceso a nuevas tecnologías para capturar imágenes y al auge de las redes sociales que permiten su difusión masiva. \nEl Congreso profundizará sobre el papel de la astrofotografía como herramienta de divulgación de la Astronomía y su impacto en la investigación en Astrofísica\, así como las posibles amenazas actuales que dificultan esta actividad como las constelaciones de satélites\, el abuso de técnicas de procesamiento de imágenes o la contaminación lumínica.
