SUMMARY:2nd MAGIC + LST F2F Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The second MAGIC + LST F2F Meeting is a conference aimed at strengthening coordination between the MAGIC and LST collaborations. Participants reviewed the status of ongoing and future scientific projects that both collaborations share\, covering key scientific advances as well as technical challenges related to data analysis. Some of the topics discussed were: \n\nExtragalactic astronomy: A review of extragalactic targets and the scientific progress of ongoing programs.\nGalactic astronomy: Discussion of supernova remnants\, pulsars\, and a set of potential Galactic targets.\nStatus of data analysis and background modeling.\nMultimessenger astronomy: Coordinating target selection with previous neutrino and gravitational-wave observations.\nTheoretical perspectives: Including Lorentz Invariance Violation physics and axion-like particle searches.\n\nThe conference is strategically held a couple of months before the next call of observation proposals and will have a direct impact in the criteria for future data taking cycles of both telescopes.

SUMMARY:SO Colloquium: Galactic Centres and their high-energy multimessenger Phenomena
DESCRIPTION:Galactic Nuclei are the densest stellar systems in the Universe\, and they host massive black holes (MBHs). A host of energetic and unique phenomena\, –such as tidal disruption events\, hypervelocity stars and extreme mass ratio inspirals–\, arise from these outstanding features of galactic nuclei. \nIn this talk\, | I will present my group work on state-of-the-art dynamical calculations that link the rate and properties of these different phenomena and show how they can be used to investigate MBH environments at scales hardly accessible (or not yet accessible) by direct observations. \nFecha y lugar: 18/11/2025 – 13:00 | Salón de ActosElena RossiUniversity of Leiden\, The Netherlands \n
