SUMMARY:SO Colloquium:  MOSAIC: the multi-object spectrograph for the ELT
DESCRIPTION:MOSAIC will be a multi-object spectrograph for the ELT. It is being designed to work at visible and NIR wavelengths\, and with different observing modes. During the first years of operation of the instrument it will carry out several surveys that will focus on the most relevant key-projects in Astronomy: first galaxies\, mass assembly along the Universe evolution\, exoplanets\, etc… \nThe IAA-CSIC is contributing to the development of the instrument\, as well as to the scientific team that is defining the first observations.
