DESCRIPTION:Tutors: Francesca Primas (ESO) and Enrique Pérez Montero (IAA-CSIC) \nThree half days (mornings) at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA-CSIC) \n  \n\n \n \nSchedule\nTuesday (9:30h – 13:00h) – Salón de Actos Wednesday (9:30h – 11:00h) – Sala de Juntas  \nWednesday (11:30h – 14:00h) – Salón de Actos Thursday (9:30h – 11:00h) – Salón de Actos \nThursday (11:30-13:00) – Sala de Juntas  \nCoffee breaks each morning from 11:00 to 11:30 \n \nContent\nDAY 1 – Tuesday 10/03/26  \n\nModule 1 (9:30-11:00): «Implicit and explicit biases in science/astrophysics».\n\nWe are all biased\, but what is exactly a bias and why is that a problem? During this session\, different types of bias will be discussed\, with a special focus on their impact on different phases of our research/academic careers.  \n\nCoffee break (11:00-11:30)\nModule 2 (11:30-13:00): «Tips for career development».\n\nThis talk will address specific tips and suggestions about how to approach family conciliation in science/astrophysics\, the importance of multitracking\, useful knowledge about first promotion or what becomes gradually more important at different stages of the career path. \n  \nDAY 2 – Wednesday 11/03/26 \n\nTalk session (9:30 – 11:00)\, closed for early career researchers (at Sala de Juntas)\nCoffee break (11:00-11:30)\nModule 4 (11:30-13:00) – Enrique Pérez Montero: «Inclusion at CSIC»\n\nThis talk will present a recent study made internally by the CSIC to analyze our working environment from the perspective of the inclusion\, along with tips for both the institutions and workers. \n  \nDAY 3 – Thursday 12/03/26  \n\nModule 4 (9:30-11:00): «The importance of networking and mentoring»\nCoffee break (11:00-11:30)\nPanel discussion / talks from the participants (11:30-13:00\, at Sala de Juntas)\n\n  \n  \nThis event is supported by the «Center of Excellence Severo Ochoa» award to the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía.
