SUMMARY:SO Colloquium - SDSS-V and beyond: status of the LVM and the new AS5 proposal
DESCRIPTION:We present here the state-of-the-art the Local Volume Mapper project and the new proposed After-Sloan-5 proposal (future SDSS-VI)\, making an emphasis in the stronger contributions in which me and my team has been involved: the development of the LVM-DAP\, the participation in the data analysis and science production\, the current and future DR\, and the upcoming new generation of the SDSS survey. \nThe possible participation of Spanish institutions\, and in particular the IAA and the Calar Alto observatory\, would be discussed. \nFecha y lugar: 06/02/2026 – 13:00 | Salón de ActosSebastián SánchezInstituto de Astronomía\, UNAM \n

SUMMARY:SO Colloquium - The long and winding road from planetesimals to comets
DESCRIPTION:One of the most promising models of planetesimal formation in the young Solar System encompasses two major stages: (i) the collisional growth of dust grains into mm- to cm-sized dust/ice aggregates\, often termed «pebbles»\, followed by (ii) pebble-concentration processes that lead to the gentle self-gravitational collapse of the pebble clouds. The subsequent evolution of these planetesimals comprises heating by short- and long-lived radiogenic nuclei as well as mutual collisions so that the contemporary survivors of all these phases might have somewhat different internal structures than the primitive planetesimals in the early stages of the Solar System. \nI will use available models of the makeup of evolved planetesimals and compare them with the properties of cometary nuclei. \nFecha y lugar: 10/02/2026 – 12:30 | Salón de ActosJürgen BlumTechnische Universität Braunschweig \n

SUMMARY:SO Colloquium - Jets across the scales: High energy Galactic Stellar Outflows
DESCRIPTION:Jets have traditionally been studied at cosmological distances in systems such as active galactic nuclei and blazars in the very-high-energy domain. In recent years\, however\, they have emerged as some of the most efficient particle accelerators also in our own Galaxy\, where several classes of objects are now detected up to energies of tens of TeV. \nTheir proximity allows us to spatially resolve — at least in some cases — the outflows\, providing unprecedented insight into how these powerful accelerators operate. In this talk\, I will review the latest results obtained for Galactic jets and winds\, spanning scales from the kilometer-sized magnetospheres of pulsars to the multi-parsec structures produced by microquasars. \nFecha y lugar: 12/02/2026 – 12:30 | Salón de ActosEmma de Oña WilhelmiDESY \n  \n
