POST-DOCS ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE IAA-CSIC FOR THE “EMERGIA” Call from the Andalusian Government
The IAA-CSIC, a research center located in Granada, awarded with the “Severo Ochoa” excellence mention in 2018 from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, occupies a strong and unique position in astrophysics and space research in Spain. Its multidisciplinarity and the experience in multi-range astronomy favor the existence of transversal synergetic projects. We are offering pos-doc positions based on our “Severo Ochoa” scientific strategy, that is focused on three scientific pillars and interweave increasing spatial scales: (1) Towards the understanding of planetary systems; (2) Star formation in the Milky Way and the Local Universe; (3) Galaxy Evolution and Cosmology. We will specifically strengthen research in these areas, with an emphasis on creating and profiting from synergies between the different research groups at the IAA. The selected candidates will perform her/his own research in an internationally sound environment, and will have access to the internal calls for financial support for travelling within the “Severo Ochoa” program (http://so.iaa.csic.es/).

ANUNCIO DE POSTDOCS EN EL IAA-CSIC EN LA CONVOCATORIA “EMERGIA” DE LA JUNTA DE ANDALUCÍA
El IAA, centro del CSIC en Granada, galardonado con la mención de excelencia “Severo Ochoa” en 2018 por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, ocupa una posición fuerte y única en la astrofísica y la investigación espacial en España. Su multidisciplinaridad y la experiencia en astronomía de múltiples rangos favorecen la existencia de proyectos sinérgicos transversales. Ofrecemos contratos postdoctorales basado en nuestra estrategia científica “Severo Ochoa”, que se centra en tres pilares científicos entrelazados a escalas espaciales crecientes: (1) Hacia la comprensión de los sistemas planetarios; (2) Formación de estrellas en la Vía Láctea y el Universo Local; (3) Evolución de galaxias y cosmología. Reforzaremos específicamente la investigación en estas áreas, con énfasis en la creación y el aprovechamiento de sinergias entre los diferentes grupos de investigación del IAA. Las personas seleccionada realizarán su propia investigación en un entorno internacional sólido, y tendrán acceso a las convocatorias internas de apoyo financiero para viajar dentro del programa “Severo Ochoa” (http://so.iaa.csic.es/).
