On March 14 and 16, the External Scientific Advisory Board (ESAB), composed of internationally recognized researchers, visited the IAA-CSIC facilities to review the activities of the IAA and to provide advice on future actions.

During these days, the ESAB has been able to review the actions developed by the IAA-CSIC in all its areas of work, as well as the main scientific results of the last three years. In addition, it has conducted interviews and meetings with the different scientific-technical groups (technical staff, predocs, postdocs and scientific staff).

It has been an excellent opportunity to review and evaluate the work done since 2020 and to project the new lines of action of the IAA-CSIC towards the future.

The External Scientific Advisory Committee is composed of 10 international experts in different areas, and chaired by the President of the IAU, Prof. Silvia Torres Peimbert.
