In two decades, the field of exoplanet science has undergone nothing short of a revolution. With such a variety of planetary systems detected, the next step in exoplanet research is to characterise the properties of these systems. In this talk I will focus on “life and adventures” of gas giant exoplanets, and present how future space missions such as JWST, ARIEL and LISA will help us understand the nature, formation and evolutionary history of these exotic worlds in the Milky Way and beyond
