Ground-based Detection of Circumnuclear Keplerian Disks of Ionized Gas in Disk Galaxies

We have studied the gas kinematics in the inner regions of a sample of 23 disk galaxies obtained from long-slit spectra along their major axis. We discuss the variety of the shapes of the emission lines in the position-velocity
diagrams that we find for the sample galaxies. For some objects we demonstrate the possibility of inferring the presence of Keplerian gaseous disks using optical ground-based telescopes.
