The nature of the extreme kinematics in distant radio galaxies

The goal of this project is to investigate the kinematics of the ionized gas in High Redshift Radio Galaxies. In particular to consider if the extreme gas motions can be explained by simple gravitational motion models. 2D spectral maps are also being used to further investigate kinematics in these objects.
