Seen the Unseen in Planetary Nebulae with High-dispersion Integral Field Spectroscopic Observations

Planetary nebulae (PNe), the short-lived progeny of low- and intermediate-mass stars, may embed structures with varying kinematical, physical and chemical properties that disclose the rich variety of processes occurring during their formation. These structures hide in direct images, projected against the bright nebular emission, but the advent of high-dispersion integral field spectroscopic (HD IFS) observations provide the means to spectroscopically resolve them. I present here a number of HD IFS studies of PNe using MEGARA at the 10.4m GTC that have allowed mapping finally the first jet ever detected in a PN, detecting ring-like features and jets in high surface-brightness compact PNe and unveiling the H-poor nature of a recent ejecta embedded within a bright nebular shell. These results showcase the prospects of 3D studies of PNe.
